Salaries, pensions gulped N764bn in three months – FG



The Federal Government spent a total of N763.64bn on the payment of salaries of its workers as well as their pensions, gratuities and other overheard costs between February and April this year.

The amount is contained in the Consolidated Income and Disbursement Account of the Federal Government covering January to April, which was prepared by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
According to the document, which was obtained by our correspondent in Abuja, the N763.64bn represents a decrease of N105.4bn when compared to the N869.04bn expended for the same purpose in the similar period of 2015.
