Good news!!! 3 job schemes of the federal government

The federal government has consistently reiterated
its determination in creating employment
opportunities for Nigerians in order to cushion the
effects of the economic relapse the country is
currently facing.

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has unveiled several job creation schemes that will help the government realise its goals and
objectives.
President Buhari has promised to initiate policies
for poor and vulnerable Nigerians
Ballboifacts  lists three of the job schemes that are
currently ongoing for the benefit of those
interested.

1. School-to-work job scheme
This is targeted at training young students to be
self-reliant. The training will engage secondary
school students from JSS3 to SSS2 on vocational
skills for the period of two months. It will be
held during long vacations and would engage 150
students drawn from each state of the federation
who will choose a trade of their choice.
The training is geared towards enabling students
acquire functional and marketable skills even
before they graduate so that they can be useful
to the society and also get practicable skills that
can encourage them to be entrepreneurs.
2. Anchor Borrowers Programme
The Anchor Borrowers Programme is aimed at
creating economic linkages between over 600,000
smallholder farmers and reputable large-scale
processors with a view to increasing agricultural
output and significantly improving capacity
utilization of integrated mills.
The Central Bank of Nigeria had set aside N40
billion from the N 220 billion Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises Development Fund for farmers
at a single-digit interest rate of 9 per cent.
3. Rural Employment Management Information System
In this scheme, youths would be engaged as field
officers to collate and update activities of
farmers in rural areas for monitoring purposes. It
is a cutting edge IT-based Agricultural Information
System which facilitates productivity in
Agribusiness and Rural technological development.
To make it effective, a portal will be created on
the NDE website where farmers can check
information concerning their produce from time to
time.
